Applications open at the beginning of each month and close after the first 3 applications are received. Birthday Backpack Experiences are awarded on a first come, first serve basis and only once per year during their birthday month. If your foster child’s birthday month has passed, please visit our website at the beginning of their birthday month next year.

There is no cost to participate in the Birthday Backpack Experience. This is an initiative of the Operators Unlimited Caring Team whose goals are to share and live the core values of our organization with our team members and the community.

Birthday Backpacks will be shipped to the parents’ address by the end of the birthday month.

There is no age limit to participate. If a child is in foster care, we are delighted for the opportunity to celebrate their special day.

Backpack, gift card to experience chosen, gift card for birthday cake and ministry piece as well as other age-appropriate gift(s).

No, experiences are given via gift card, so pending an expiration date from the experience location, there should be no expiration dates.

Birthday Backpack Experiences are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. If you received a success notification, your child WILL receive a Birthday Backpack Experience. If you were unable to submit an application, then we have already blessed 3 other foster children in the community for this month.
